Meaning of DIFFUSIONISM:
Introduced by E.B. Tylor, and initially developed by Franz Boas, the word diffusion was used by anthropologists and sociologists to refer to the spread of culture through borrowing, migration or even suggestion, either alone or in combination. Thus cultural similarities occur due to diffusion as well and not only due to independent invention as is given by evolutionists.
